Eisai Reports Q1 Revenue for Leqembi Exceeding Expectations
TOKYO, Jul 29 (Pulse News Wire) – Eisai CO.,LTD. (4523.T) reported global revenue for the anti-Amyloid beta antibody drug Leqembi (generic name: lecanemab) exceeded expectations in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, reaching ¥29.30 billion.
In comparison, the same period last year saw revenues of ¥23.10 billion, which included inventory buildup effects in China estimated at ¥5.300 billion. By major country, the United States contributed ¥15.40 billion, Japan contributed ¥6.100 billion, and China contributed ¥4.800 billion.
Last year's figures stood at ¥9.100 billion for the US, ¥5.500 billion for Japan, and ¥7.700 billion for China. Details of Leqembi’s sales performance will be disclosed alongside Eisai’s overall Q1 results scheduled for release on August 03, 2026.
Eisai leads development and regulatory filings globally, with commercialization and promotional activities conducted jointly with Biogen under Eisai’s final decision-making authority.
