Delta-Fly Pharma to Buy Back and Cancel Warrants Issued in 2024
TOKYO, Jul 22 (Pulse News Wire) – Delta-fly Pharma, inc. (4598.T) resolved to acquire and subsequently cancel all remaining warrants from its ninth and eleventh series issued in 2024 during a board meeting held .
As of July 22, 2026, there were 5,000 outstanding units of the ninth series warrant and 8,549 units of the eleventh series warrant. The acquisition price per unit for the ninth series is ¥232, while for the eleventh series, it is ¥56. The total acquisition cost is estimated at July 22, 2026. The company plans to execute the buyback on July 29, 2026, and complete the cancellation process on July 31, 2026.
This move comes amid ongoing challenges with the company's stock price falling below the exercise threshold, leading to no exercises of the warrants thus far. Consequently, the funds intended for various research and development activities, including clinical trials and patent-related expenses, cannot be realized through warrant exercises. In light of recent developments, Delta-Fly Pharma decided to halt further funding via warrant exercises and instead opt for direct acquisitions and cancellations to align with newly secured financing channels detailed in their latest issuance announcements. The impact of this decision on the fiscal year ending March 2027 is expected to be minor.
