Daito KOUN Appoints New External Director Following Death of Former Audit Committee Member

TOKYO, Jul 15 (Pulse News Wire) – Daito Koun CO.,LTD. (9367.T) announced the passing of external director and audit committee member Eijiro Kamata.

Kamata had served as an external director since his appointment but passed away on July 13, 2026, leading to his resignation from the position effective immediately. In light of Kamata's departure, which left a vacancy in the statutory number of directors serving as audit committee members, Ibuki Fukuyama was appointed as a replacement external director and audit committee member on July 13, 2026. Fukuyama was previously selected during the company’s 77th annual general meeting held on June 25, 2026, and meets the criteria for being an outside director.

Fukuyama, born on October 11, 1968, brings extensive experience to the role. His career highlights include joining Itochu Corporation in April 1991, becoming a certified public accountant in July 2001, and holding various positions within auditing firms such as Nippon Denki-sha (now EY Shin Nihon LLC). He currently serves as a partner at Avantiar CPA Firm.
