CUBE System Sells Shanghai Subsidiary Shares
TOKYO, Aug 05 (Pulse News Wire) – CUBE SYSTEM INC. (2335.T) decided to sell its entire stake in subsidiary Shanghai Qubu Information Systems Co., Ltd.
To Komatsu Business Service Co., Ltd. during a board meeting held on August 05, 2026. The transaction is expected to complete around September 30, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. As a result, Shanghai Qubu will be delisted from CUBE SYSTEM's consolidated subsidiaries. Shanghai Qubu was established on July 08, 2009, focusing on system development and maintenance services for local enterprises and collaboration within the group. Over the past decade and a half, the company contributed significantly to enhancing CUBE SYSTEM’s competitive edge in China.
However, due to structural changes in the Chinese IT market, CUBE SYSTEM concluded that concentrating specialized resources locally would drive higher growth potential for the business. Komatsu Business Service, based in Tokyo, Chuuou Ku Nihonbashi Kabutochou, specializes in system development and advanced technology consulting. It has a capital of ¥20 million. The deal price remains undisclosed due to confidentiality agreements between the parties involved. Following the sale, CUBE SYSTEM's previous holding ratio of 100% will adjust to 0%. The company expects the impact on its performance to be minor.
Any significant adjustments to future forecasts will be promptly disclosed.
