Convano Plans to Sell All Cryptocurrency Holdings Within Three Months
TOKYO, Jul 24 (Pulse News Wire) – Convano Inc. (6574.T) announced today that it has decided to sell all of its cryptocurrency holdings, excluding those allocated for shareholder perks, within approximately three months.
The move aims to stabilize the company's financial structure and improve capital efficiency by reallocating funds towards higher growth and profitability investments. The company’s board meeting held on July 24 determined that selling the cryptocurrencies, which carry significant price fluctuation risks, would be prudent given the current favorable market conditions. As of March 31, 2026, the book value of the cryptocurrencies was ¥8.767 billion (consolidated).
The sale will prioritize achieving high prices through careful consideration of market liquidity and price trends, while also allowing for potential phased sales based on market dynamics. Proceeds from the sale will be directed toward future capital policies and financial strategies, with detailed plans to be disclosed promptly once finalized. While there could be gains or losses from the sale, the impact on the current fiscal performance is expected to be minor due to prior valuation adjustments made at the end of the previous accounting period.
This decision reflects Convano Inc.'s commitment to enhancing shareholder value and optimizing resource allocation in a rapidly evolving market environment.
