TOKYO, Aug 06 (Pulse News Wire) – Carna Biosciences,inc. (4572.T) reported second quarter losses due to interest payments totaling ¥21.0 million and impairment charges amounting to ¥9.3 million.
The interest payments primarily stemmed from amortization of issuance discounts related to convertible bonds and bond issues, along with accrued interest on convertible bonds. Additionally, impairment losses were recognized following a decline in recoverable value of assets showing signs of impairment.
For the interim period ending June 30, 2026, total interest expenses reached ¥34.2 million, while cumulative impairment losses stood at ¥12.3 million. These figures encompass data from the first half of the fiscal year.
