Capita Acquires Elder Care Facility to Boost Senior Business

– CAPITA Inc. (7462.T) announced today that its board of directors resolved to acquire a functioning elderly care home located in Osaka, Higashioosaka Shi.

The property includes land and buildings covering an area of 1714.55 square meters and 1,440.50 square meters respectively, with a purchase price of ¥507.6 million. This acquisition aligns with the company's growth strategy, aiming to strengthen its senior business and expand into the promising Kansai region. The facility offers stable revenue due to its public support and resistance to economic fluctuations, contributing positively to capital efficiency and long-term shareholder value. Additionally, the asset portfolio optimization initiative seeks to enhance profitability through strategic asset reallocation.

The transaction was finalized on the same day with the seller remaining undisclosed per their request. There are no capital, personal, or commercial ties between the buyer and seller. The handover and settlement also took place. Looking ahead, CAPITA plans to explore various utilization methods for the acquired property while noting that the impact of this acquisition is already reflected in the fiscal year ending March 2027 forecasts.
