Boutiques Reports Mixed First Quarter Results Amid Strategic Shifts
TOKYO, Aug 06 (Pulse News Wire) – Boutiques,inc. (9272.T) reported mixed results for the first quarter ending March 2027, with revenue falling below expectations due to changes in exhibition schedules and reduced events.
Revenue stood at ¥770 million compared to ¥793 million in the same period last year, marking a decline of -2.9%. Operating profit improved significantly to a loss of ¥164 million from ¥268 million previously, reflecting cost management efforts. The company's exhibition business saw revenue drop to ¥323 million from ¥503 million in the prior year, largely attributed to fewer events scheduled.
Despite challenges, the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory division showed strong performance, achieving revenues of ¥447 million, up from ¥289 million in the previous year. Segment profits increased to ¥103 million from just ¥6 million in the corresponding period. Looking ahead, Boutiques expects continued growth in both divisions, anticipating significant improvements in sales and operating margins in subsequent quarters.
