Bluememe Sets Up Special Investigation Committee Over Accounting Issues

TOKYO, Jun 11 (Pulse News Wire) – BlueMeme Inc. (4069.T) established a special investigation committee comprising external experts to continue investigating accounting issues related to past transactions.

The move follows previous findings indicating potential errors in revenue recognition and procurement accounting during fiscal years 2020 through 2026. The committee, chaired by lawyer Hideki Miyake from Anderson Mori & Tomotsune Foreign Legal Affairs Joint Enterprise, includes certified public accountant Daiki Fujita from KPMG Forensic & Risk Advisory and lawyer Ryohhei Onishi from Anderson Mori & Tomotsune Foreign Legal Affairs Joint Enterprise.

They will build upon evidence gathered previously while conducting independent investigations and providing additional insights. The scope of the investigation covers clarifying the facts behind the issues, identifying similar cases, assessing their impact on consolidated financial statements, determining causes, and proposing preventive measures.
