Axial Retailing Reports July Sales Growth Slows Compared to Last Year
TOKYO, Aug 05 (Pulse News Wire) – Axial Retailing Inc. (8255.T) reported its monthly sales performance for July, showing a slight deceleration compared to the same period last year.
According to the data released on August 05, total revenue for July was up 0.33%, while existing store revenue increased by 0.57%. Customer traffic grew by 2.4% and average transaction value rose by 2.12%. For the April-July cumulative period, overall revenue growth stood at 1.65%, with existing stores experiencing a 0.84% increase.
Despite the modest gains, these figures represent a slowdown from the previous fiscal year's robust performance, which saw total revenue grow by 5.35% during the corresponding months. The report also highlighted that the figures presented are based on the company’s food supermarket subsidiaries, excluding revenues from stores that did not apply the Accounting Standards for Revenue Recognition. This marks a continuation of Axial Retailing's efforts to monitor and adjust to changing consumer behaviors and economic conditions, aiming to maintain steady growth despite challenging market dynamics.
