Asterisk Partners With Sumitomo Mitsui Card's stera Platform
TOKYO, Jul 14 (Pulse News Wire) – Asterisk Inc. (6522.T) announced that its point-of-sale (POS) system Salasee will integrate with Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co.'s payment platform stera.
This integration enables seamless use of various payment methods such as credit card and QR payments through Salasee. The partnership allows Salasee to support multiple payment styles, including self-checkout, semi-self-checkout, mobile checkout, and customer smartphone-based transactions. Additionally, Salasee will offer RFID-enabled bulk basket scanning capabilities, enhancing efficiency in retail operations.
A pilot program is scheduled to launch in demonstration stores later this year, with plans to expand public access subsequently. This collaboration leverages Asterisk’s hardware expertise in barcode and RFID scanners, known as AsReader, alongside its POS systems. By integrating these technologies, Asterisk aims to deliver comprehensive store solutions that enhance sales and streamline operations.
