Asahi Yukizai POSTS LOWERED FY25 PROFIT; SEEKS IMPROVEMENT IN FY26
TOKYO, May 15 (Pulse News Wire) – ASAHI YUKIZAI CORPORATION (4216.T) reported lower operating profit and net income for the fiscal year ended March 2026 compared to the previous year. Revenue decreased from ¥852 billion to ¥801 billion.
Operating profit fell from ¥111 billion to ¥76 billion, while ordinary profit dropped from ¥113 billion to ¥80 billion. Net profit declined significantly from ¥76 billion to ¥33 billion. The company attributed the decline primarily to reduced demand in its pipe system division due to cautious investment amid US tariff impacts, and manufacturing cost increases across various segments.
Despite efforts to boost sales through price adjustments and expanding high-value product lines, these measures did not fully offset the downturn. Looking ahead, ASAHI YUKIZAI forecasts improved performance in fiscal year 2026, expecting revenue to reach ¥900 billion, up from ¥801 billion in fiscal year 2025. The company anticipates higher operating profit of ¥85 billion and net profit of ¥61 billion, reflecting anticipated recovery trends and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and market penetration.
