Arakawa Chemical Industries Appoints New Director

TOKYO, May 14 (Pulse News Wire) – Arakawa Chemical Industries,ltd. (4968.T) announced today that it has appointed a new director effective June 24, 2026.

The appointment was approved during a board meeting held , and will be formally decided at the 96th Annual General Meeting scheduled for June 24, 2026, followed by another board meeting. The newly appointed director is Yoshiko Sakurai, currently the Deputy Program Manager for the Cabinet Office's Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) titled “Construction of Sustainable Food Chains That Provide Abundant Food.” Sakurai will serve as an independent outside director.

Additionally, the company’s representative officer, President and CEO Naoki Takagi, confirmed the upcoming changes. This move reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing its governance structure and integrating strategic innovation expertise into its leadership team.
