ANA Holdings Orders Eight Embraer E190-E2 Aircraft

TOKYO, Jul 29 (Pulse News Wire) – ANA Holdings Inc. (9202.T) announced on July 29 that its board of directors had approved the purchase of eight Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.

The acquisition is scheduled to take place between fiscal years 2029 and 2032. The decision was made to ensure the group's domestic airline operations align with long-term environmental changes and to support strategic partnerships. Each aircraft will cost approximately $105.0 billion. The exchange rate used for calculations is 1 USD = ¥155. The price does not include escalation adjustments, and the assets will include engines. Embraer S.A., based in São José dos Campos, Brazil, will supply the aircraft. As of March 31, 2026, Embraer’s capital amounted to US$ 1,551,600,000.

The company was established on August 19, 1969, and currently lists major shareholders such as Blackrock Inc. with a holding ratio of 5.5%, BNDES Participações S.A. with 5.4%, and Brandes Investment Partners L.P. with 5.0%. Contracts are expected to be finalized in August 2026, with delivery times according to the schedule outlined earlier. The transaction does not involve any significant capital or personal relationships between Embraer and ANA Holdings beyond their existing commercial dealings. In addition, ANA Holdings stated that the aircraft purchase would contribute to the stable execution of its medium-to-long-term business plans without altering the previously disclosed earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
